Brief Introduction to International Education College of KFU
Kaifeng University’s foreign exchange and international cooperation began in 1995, and established with some Japanese schools friendly cooperative relationships, which marked the first step of international school-running. In 1996 office of foreign affairs was founded, and 1997 saw the establishment of Department of International Education which was rename International Education College in 2006.
International Education College of Kaifeng University (KFU) is a teaching unit responsible for international education and foreign exchange and cooperation of the university, as well as contact and recruit of overseas study groups of friendly colleges. As an exchange platform of Kaifeng University, International Education College has been engaging advanced foreign education ideas and resources into the university, to constantly improve the quality of teaching and the level of school-running, and to make great efforts to realize the integration of Chinese and western high-quality teaching resources, and explore a new mode of talent training. At present we have already carried out and implemented cooperative joint projects with Marie-Victorin College Canada, Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) New Zealand, and Genetic Computer School Singapore.
International Education College KFU expands communication and association with foreign universities and colleges. In the process of internationalization, talent training needs international notions. We try our best to provide an international stage for KFU’s teacher training, student exchange, teaching and research, etc. At present we have established friendly cooperative relationships with dozens of universities and colleges from Canada, Australia, Britain, France, Germany, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, Korea, etc.
In 1998, KFU was permitted to receive foreign students and from then on, International Education College has been responsible for that affair and received over 120 foreign students from Japan, Korea, America, Brazil, Australia, etc and some short-term foreign students from Japan NOVA Overseas Study Center, Korea Decheng Women's University contingent, college students summer camp from France Triple A Business School, and so on.
